NEW EU Customs Duty legislation
For the attention of our EU CUSTOMERS
On 1 July 2026, new EU legislation entered into effect, whereby a customs duty charge of €3.00 is being applied per HS Tariff Code category. As with any new legislation, and various portals and platforms, there are issues, incorrect processes and delays for such applications to fall into place correctly.
Our website will show Duties applied on all EU orders, The €3.00 is equivalent to approximately £2.56. This amount can change if you have different items in your cart, for example, 2 model kits, 1 paint set, and 3 paintbrushes. In this case, the Customs Duty should be £7.68.

We are aware that different countries and different postal operators are applying the Customs Duty charge in various ways. So it is still not consistent as the EU guidelines are not fully clear. There are 10 EU countries that currently do NOT support the Duty to be prepaid, so customers will need to pay this on receipt to the postal operator. These 10 countries are: Bulgaria, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovenia. We will refund any Customs Duties paid (not the VAT/Tax) to customers from these countries, so they will not be charged twice.
Kindly note that even if you may have paid Customs Duty through our website, it is possible that you may still be required an additional charge to the postal operator in your country, depending on their calculation method. As advised, this is beyond our control until all systems are in place correctly all over the EU.
