According to lore, he was once a fearsome Hessian cavalryman who lost his head to a cannonball during the Revolutionary War. Since then, he has haunted the dark woods and winding roads of Sleepy Hollow, eternally searching for his lost head. His fiery-eyed steed and ghostly presence have struck terror into the hearts of all who dare cross his path.
