75mm scale resin kit. Sculpted by Eduard Pérez. Boxart by Jaume Ortiz. Kit includes: 10 kit parts (plus photoetched parts)

As many other countries and territories of the period, France became involved in the infamous Thirty Years War. Even if this war proved to be one of the most useless and exhausting conflicts ever to raze Europe, in this particular country it is associated with the times of Louis XIII and Cardinal Richelieu, the splendor of French Baroque or the struggle against the Habsburg and the Huguenots.

The deeds and aesthetics of the soldiers from that particular period have always been evocative and romantic. From writers like Alexandre Dumas in his stories about “The Three Musketeers” to painters like Ernest Meissonier, many artists have idealized the simpler and chivalrous times of pre-industrialized France.

We also have decided to render in miniature some of these romantic subjects, as they remain really appealing to many of us. This figure is a non-particularly defined gentleman of the era, based on engravings and period paintings that can be used to depict a variety of subjects. It includes photo-etched parts that allow some of the elements to be portrayed in a much finer and realistic way (in this case, the spurs and the rapier sword’s lacing).
