75mm scale resin kit. Sculpted by Oriol Quin. Boxart by Javier Montero. Kit includes: 9 pieces.

The Morgan’s Rifles was an elite light infantry unit raised by General Daniel Morgan during the American Revolutionary War.

This unit was raised in Virginia as a very small force of 20 men that aspired to gather only the best marksmen available. To determine who was worthy of joining, they created a simple test. Using a target of 7 inches of diameter, placed in a post at 250 paces of distance, the first 40 men who were able to hit it twice in a row would be accepted in the unit.

The unit was equipped with the innovative Pennsylvania Rifle, later known as the Kentucky Rifle, that allowed greater accuracy and also a fire rate that almost doubled the one of a normal musket.

They had great value as skirmishers and entered in combat in diverse engagements through the war. One of the most significant actions of this unit was the preliminary role they fought before the Battle of Saratoga, in 1777, where they effectively fought the Native allies of the British, preventing the enemy gathering intelligence about the Continental Army movements.

Our figure carries the distinctive rifle that made the unit famous and also wears a characteristic period garment, a fleeced hunting shirt.
