The night of December 7 to 8, 1585, trapped in a trap of mud, cold and blood, the men of Tercio Viejo de Zamora, commanded by Francisco de Bobadilla and Juan del Aguila, the sudden appearance of an image of the Immaculate Conception Buried in the mud and a sudden drop in temperatures that froze the water around them and threatened to drown them, allowed them to storm the Dutch ships and get a victory that has passed into history as “The Miracle of Empel.” Based in the painting of the master Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau, Semper Fidelis pays homage to that fact with his piece “The Miracle”.
